Sorry for the delay, but things have been very busy here in many different areas of the show.

First, we are now planning on going back to Bonneville for the BMST event this year. It is Aug. 29 through September 3. There are decisions to be made before then as to how the format of our effort will be organized.  At the very least the big red turbo Ducati will be going back. This will reflect the primary effort to get some 200 mph time slips.

Sam Wills will be joining us again in that effort , as will Fred Weege and Patrick Zeigle. Nick Moore will be a wildcard and hopefully can make it.

Sam has also been invited to participate in the “Legends of Bonneville” panel. This was a tipping point in the decision as he is well-deserving of that honor and it will be a hoot to see him and the others up on the stage in Wendover.

Back to the wildcard situation.  If Nick can come along, the we would look at bringing the injected Ducati as well.  This more than doubles the effort, but I think we can reset our record.  Runnng a nitro motor at Bonneville is a very involved process to find that balancing point where you make enough power but don’t burn the motor up.  We did it before and I think we can do it again. The only gripe is that the record we wanted to take a shot at is the venerable Scott Guthrie’s record that is a long-standing SCTA benchmark.

So I am hoping, with the little bit of extra time the virus affords to be a bit more assiduous in my maintenance of the blog.

Thank you for checking back in and stay tuned.  Our website, Facebook and Instagram pages are alternate sources of information, but this is the one i am responsible for.

Once again, all the best and stay safe.
