The trip to the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa Iowa was a truly enjoyable event. A great group of people and perfect weather led up to a great time.
There are always a lot of things to peruse in the museum and you could spend a lot more than the half day we did and still miss details. Motorcycles are just that way, always something different with every angle to see them from.
The flat track display was replaced by a group of customs/choppers that got you thinking about things to do to and with a bike.
As usual the drag racing exhibit was expanded a bit and Jim McClure was included as well as a drag racing timeline. I was able to capture two of my daughters’ namesakes in the displays. I heartily recommend a visit and we may go back down this winter, so stay tuned.
Work continues on various projects and we will be having a few events through the winter to show off what is going on, and the Manufacturer’s Cup Race in Valdosta Georgia is coming up in November.
More to come later, and action channels to work through on the efforts to save Bonneville.
