On Saturday Jan. 25, we had a great turnout for the first ever Shop Show-and-Tell. We had people from Oshkosh, Menasha, Franklin, LaCrosse and other points.
I want to thank everyone for coming and hope it was enjoyable. We met our two newest sponsors and had a chance to bring everyone up to speed on the various projects in the shop, not just the racebikes, but some customer work as well.
Explanations of intercooling as related to turbocharging and dyno results, mixed with a brief history of some aspects of the shop (hard to cram 40 years of racing and various theatrics into one afternoon) regaled the crowd. Of course there was obligatory running of the Land Speed Bike. With the C9 gas in it, it wasn’t as nasty as the Q16 used last weekend, and nowhere near as potent as a dose of nitro might be but everyone got the basic idea.
Great cookies and coffee helped keep the pangs of hunger at bay and once the pump was primed everyone seemed to start mingling very well.
I hope our visitors had as much fun as I did, although I must admit I was beat after being relatively well-behaved and entertaining for that length of time.
Let me know what you think and any other suggestions for the next Show-and-Tell.
I am impressed with the intrepid band once again!
