The DVD release/shop party was well-attended last night, the 12th at Quaker Steak and Lube. A great turnout of enjoyable people made it a memorable evening. Thanks to the excellent staff at that fine establishment!
The give-aways of T-Shirts and copies of the new “The Bonneville Project” were immensely popular.
I would guess attendance at over 80 people and the Slimey Cruds stopped in to add their unique spin to the happenings.
Many questions about the bikes were answered and new developments explained. While we didn’t have a chance to regale the crowd with our salt flat exploits, due to the rain, we did remind them why nitromethane is the crack cocaine of the motorsports world. It was a bit dicey, but we did get the fueler lit even with a temperature of 23 degrees. I personally was a bit apprehensive and due to the frigid temps we had to settle for a warmup and testing the response. It was so cold, that the rich settings at Byron two weeks before were not enough and the response was a bit flat, but raucous nonetheless.
Thanks again for stopping in, and stay in touch!
